As Dr Seuss says oh the things you will see

Well my freinds this is a crazy and screwed up world we live in . And as i spend my working life as a long haul driver i get to see a side of the world most of you cant see. I see all the citys in North America from the back side. Not the pretty side you see on tv but the real city hiding in the back streets and industrial parks. The true underbelly of the place what i like to call the swub. That means the soft white underbelly. So come along and see our world and the many characters that are hiding in plain site on your highways and roads. my fellow drivers and the supporting staff that keeps them going.

Back At Work.

As Eddie Rabbitt Said so well in his song Driving My life Away.

Ooh I'm driving my life away, looking for a better way, for me

ooh I'm driving my life away, looking for a sunny day.

I hope some day to find that sunny day. Then maybe I can

stop being a wandering soul on North Americas highways.

But I have a feeling that day is far off in the future.

Being at home is the greatest joy I have in my life.

Spending time with the ones you love is the best use of your time.

And as I get too do that much less than the average person.

Maybe I feel more protective of the time I've got.

Its a double edged sword being at home.

The more you get the more you want.

Its like your family is a highly addictive drug.

My wife gave me a little taste 18 years ago and I've

been jonesing for it ever since.

But bills need to be paid and braces don't come cheap.

so high ho high ho off to work I go.

You can think of me as the eighth dwarf. Lonely.

This will get easier as I get into work.

Lord knows I've a lot of it.

So i may as well get at it the truck will not drive

herself. Happy new years to you all.
